Crossing the Bridge – by Ruth Guillard

I’m on the other side
Where there is only fullness
I can’t return
So I guess I’ll just stay
And get used to the newness
But what will I do
With everything else
That walks and sits and flies?
I feel their tugging
So many people, birds
Tree-trunks, rocks
Even the dusty lid
Of my old jewel box
Ask to be treasured, ask
To be glory in my eyes
They take on the glow
Of an inner world, hidden
Till the fullness calls to them
Come…you too!
